MUNICH - For Nordic skiing, the 1st Outdoor Sport Festival held in Munich on Sunday was a great success. Together with the Bavarian Ski Federation as well as the SC Auerbach, the Peter Riedel GmbH offered the enthusiastic next generation the chance to experience ski jumping live as an athlete.
At the end of the day, 485 children jumped off the mobile K4 hill. The crowds were at times large, but even waiting times of up to 15 minutes could not deter the children. The best thing: although at 16°C winter still seemed far away, the kids could still jump on snow: the crash ice of the adjacent ice hockey stadium provided the perfect basis for the snowy fun. On the same base, on which the ice hockey pros of the ERC Ingolstadt and the EHC Red Bull Munich played against each other on Saturday, the newcomers were able to enjoy their ski jumping experience. Thanks to the organizers in Berchtesgaden, it was also possible to easily provide some extra jumping skis - a perfectly organized day!
"The cooperation with the Bavarian Ski Association and the SC Auerbach was so great that we decided to do even more for the next generation. The K4 ski jump will now be in Auerbach for the next half year, in order to inspire even more junior jumpers to take up ski jumping on the small hill”, says Peter Riedel, delighted with the results of the weekend.
