RASCHAU/BISCHOFSHOFEN, 24 June 2013 – At this year’s 15th Four Hills Tournament for Children with approximately 150 participating young athletes from four countries at the first two stations, Hungary took part for the first time in 10 years. Under the management of coach Laszlo Molnar, David Keleman in the age category K9 as well as Peter Turzai and Florian Molnar in the age category K11 took part in Hinzenbach and Bischofshofen. Florian, the son of the coach, distinguished himself especially. He came seventh place in both competitions and thus, he is currently also at this rank in the overall ranking. The biggest international ski jumping event for children will finish in September with competitions in Reit im Winkl and Berchtesgaden.
“I am delighted that Hungary makes serious efforts again in the field of ski jumping. With 15 young talents, they are trying to get people interested in the sport”, said Peter Riedel who was present in Bischofshofen and who sat with Hungarian officials for further discussions. “Without young talents, there is no top; without top, there are no stars we can cheer for at the world cup or world championships.”
On 1 August, the Hungarian ski federation will celebrate its 100th anniversary in Budapest with a big sports event. “On this occasion, Peter Riedel GmbH will be represented in Hungary with the mobile K4 ski jump. Our commitment for young talent is comprehensive”, explains Riedel. “This is why we are promoting the Four Hills Tournament for Children together with REHAU AG, and this is why our Hungarian friends can also count on our support.”
