• Record construction time of less than one month for a K120 jump facility
• Ski-Line system proves its worth also at -27 degrees Celsius
• Experts from Oberwiesenthal working beyond the Urals
RASCHAU, 19 December, 2012 –The year 2012 which had been a very successful one for Peter Riedel GmbH ends with very gratifying news from the Russian city Nizhny Tagil. In the city beyond the Urals which was founded 290 years ago, a K120 jump facility was completed during the last weeks, which will be put into operation these days.
“This is a record construction time”, the owner of the company, Peter Riedel, cheers. “Our experts installed the inrun system within less than four weeks. This paves the way for the Continental Cup on the large hill which takes place in March in the region of Sverdlovsk.
Due to administrative challenges, the start of the construction works had been delayed time and again and it seemed as if the Peter Riedel collaborators’ work progress would depend on the weather conditions. But the fears in the headquarters had proved unfounded. The new Ski-Line construction system proves its worth also at lowest temperatures. This is what was reported from Nizhny Tagil. “Minus 27 degrees Celsius are no problem for our products”, Peter Riedel says. (And, just for the record: plus 26 degrees Celsius, measured in Hinzenbach/Austria, neither.)
Currently, the landing slope is groomed with the support of skilled workers from Oberwiesenthal and using the latest snow grooming technology, because the first national competitions are already scheduled for January 2013. “At the end of January, the K90 ski jump with the newly developed measuring technology by our company will also be completed”, Peter Riedel adds. “And then, the second federal competitive sports centre of Russia is completed. It fills us with pride and joy that we had the chance to also be co-responsible for the first one in Chaykovsky, located about 600 kilometres from Nizhny Tagil. And here, I would like to thank our friends from Russia for their trust. They won’t be disappointed!”
By the way, the beginning of the year 2013 is also marked by Peter Riedel GmbH. At the New Year’s ski-jumping tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the jumpers will start from a Ski-Line inrun!
