RASCHAU, 14 January, 2013 – At the weekend, the first international competitions of Nordic Combined ended in the Russian Chaykovsky with victories for the Japanese Shun Yamamoto and the Austrian team (Lukas Greiderer/Marco Pichlmayer). The two competitions in the Continental Cup (COC) were held in nice but bitterly cold weather with temperatures on the far side of minus 25 degrees Celsius.
“The HS140 ski jump at which the competition was held presented itself in an impeccable state” said Vitali Götz, employee of Peter Riedel GmbH who was on-site for support during the weekend. “We demonstrated once again that our track system works at very low temperatures. Our Russian partners as well as the athletes and the teams were delighted anyway.”
