Home is usually the most important for those who travels widely. After many years and continuing commitment to international ski jumps, the Peter Riedel GmbH takes care of projects in the local Erzgebirge this year. Managing director Peter Riedel not only agreed to control the interests of the Organizing Committee of the FIS Summer Grand Prix of Nordic Combined, now he extended his support to the Women's horn sledge team "Oberwiesenthaler Fichtelblitz".
Together with the town Oberwiesenthal Peter Riedel GmbH's supports the ambitious project of four employees of the municipal government, during the coming winter to participate in the entire Horn Sledge Cup with its three stations in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in Brotterode and just in Oberwiesenthal. Since 2012, the motivated ladies went at their home on Horn Sledge Race at the Fichtelberg to start, however, until now, the fun of it was priority.
"We have had only a hopeless horn sledge, but now we have one 'competitive' which is manufactured from Brotteroder horn sledge builder Ralf Messerschmidt", explains Jennifer Hengst. The goal is to participate not only the three races, but also to encourage other teams from the Erzgebirge to participate in all stages of Horn Sledge Cups.
"We are hoping for plenty of snow, so we can begin in December with a few training runs. Because even in the technical field we still need to catch up", says Diana Turtenwald, who hopes together with her colleagues Sarah Schlosser, Cornelia Richter and Jennifer Hengst that the race becomes more popular at home through its engagement.
A first step has already been taken: because of the Oberwiesenthaler Marketplace Festival the sporting quartet will be introduced on the square in Oberwiesenthal - only a week before the FIS Summer Grand Prix in Nordic Combined.
For Peter Riedel GmbH it is obvious: the company is pleased to support these dedicated and ambitious women from Fichtelberg!
