TRONDHEIM - After a successful premiere of the new RAW AIR series in Norway and two great competitions on the ski jumps equipped by the Peter Riedel GmbH in Vikersund and Trondheim, the Scandinavians continue to rely on the competence of the German company: The season is hardly over, yet in Granåsen, Trondheim they are already starting the conversion of the ski jump. On Thursday, the old ice-milling machine will be dismantled and brought back to Germany - a completely new rail system with an innovative ice-milling machine already used in Vikersund will be installed in Trondheim by the end of July. With the upgrade of the ten-year old technology, the Norwegians want to guarantee a continued fast, high-quality preparation of the start-up. No wonder, since the athletes attributed the Monsterbakken in Vikersund with a first-class in-run feeling and a perfect ice track. For Trondheim, which, according to the organizing committee, will become the kickoff for the next RAW AIR series, this new standard is the opportunity for further discussion about hosting the Nordic World Ski Championships in the future.
