At the beginning of September I was in Trondheim to do some final work. I meet a lot of people at the jumping hills every day, but I was particularly happy about this last meeting.
Alexander Stöckl, head of sports for Skijumping and Nordic Combined in Poland, waved to me and we had a very nice and long conversation at the hill in Granasen.
I really appreciate Alex. During his time as Norwegian head coach, ideal training conditions and quality were always important to him. His work played a key role in the creation of many good training facilities and skijumping hills in Norway. He always valued our work and showed us a lot of appreciation. In our biggest project so far, the World Championships facility in Trondheim, he in particular played a major role in ensuring that - together with the Norwegian project team - we were able to complete the construction project to everyone's satisfaction.
THANK YOU Alex for your trust, appreciation and commitment in the past. I wish you much success and joy with your future tasks in Poland!
